Mike Borash is a Virginia State Licensed and National Certified Professional Counselor with over 30 years of clinical experience providing individual, group, family and relationship therapy. He holds baccalaureate and graduate degrees in Psychology and Counseling from James Madison University and has studied extensively with Harville Hendrix at the Institute for Relationship Therapy. Mike has been personally trained and certified by Dr. Hendrix to present the "Getting the Love You Want" workshop for couples as well as the "Keeping the Love You Find" workshop for individuals. He is a Clinical Instructor on the faculty of Imago Relationships International and provides certification training in Imago Relationship Therapy to mental health professionals worldwide.

In September of 1997, Mike was acknowledged by the Institute for Relationship Therapy as one of the ten most prolific workshop presenters in the United States. In a 1998 random sampling of 1500 medical and mental health professionals conducted by the Washingtonian Magazine, Mike was recognized by his colleagues as one of the top marital therapists in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area. His participant workshop and training evaluations are consistently outstanding and his presentation style has been described as dynamic yet warm, personable, engaging and humorous.

Additionally, Mike specializes in treating alcohol and drug dependency, co-dependency and alcoholic family systems.
