The Center for Relationship

Training and Recovery

Michael H. Borash, LPC, P.C. and Associates

Imago Relationship Therapy is a comprehensive yet remarkably coherent theory and application. It provides practitioners with an in-depth understanding of inter-personal dynamics and an effective methodology for working with relationships.  You’ll learn to assist couples in acquiring the tools and practicing the skill sets necessary in growing through the inevitable power struggles endemic to committed partnership.  You’ll find yourself becoming increasingly more conscious of the healing that occurs when a difficult relationship begins to move into empathic connection as opposed to the defensiveness so characteristic of couples in pain. You’ll also begin to realize the possibilities and opportunities for all couples when “individual diagnosis” is replaced with a relational lens. “The paradigm of relationship” allows us to see the wonderful potential for growth and healing via the interpersonal as opposed to the pathological labeling associated with a focus on the intra-psychic.

Clinical Track: Open to LPCs, LCSWs, Licensed Psychologists and Certified Pastoral Counselors who wish to broaden and deepen their understanding, skills and expertise in working with couples.  The Clinical Track leads to Certification as an Imago Relationship Therapist.

Educational Track:  Suitable for non-therapists who wish to broaden their experiences and capabilities in applying the

Imago principles and processes in business or professional settings.
