ABOUT OUR PRESENTERS
Cathy Balzarett, RN, MSCS
Cathy Balzarett is an Advanced Clinician Certified in Imago Relationship Therapy in 1994. Prior to beginning her private psychotherapy practice, she worked extensively in the field of addiction and recovery. She specializes in working with couples in recovery from addiction and co-addiction issues and finds that relationship therapy helps stabilize and promote healthy recovery.
Cathy has been married for 42 years and has 22 years of recovery. Having experienced the benefits of Imago Therapy in her marriage and an active program of recovery, she passionately believes that it is possible to facilitate safe and positive relationships with couples in recovery.
Mike Borash, MS, LPC
Mike Borash is a Virginia State Licensed and National Certified Professional Counselor with over 33 years of experience in the addiction field. He is an international trainer, speaker and workshop presenter. He serves on the teaching faculty of the Imago International Institute and has presented the “Getting the Love You Want” weekend workshop for couples since 1994.
Mike is the Director of the Center for Relationship Training and Therapy with offices in Manassas and Woodbridge, Virginia. Mike believes strongly that recovery must involve the deepening of relationships to ensure continued interpersonal growth and healing.

We are delighted to have Cathy and Mike, two of the most experienced Imago Therapists in the Mid Atlantic region. They currently serve on the Imago Addiction Task Force, which adapts the “Getting the Love You Want” couples workshop for the Recovering population.
This will be one of three pilot programs offered nationally through Imago Relationships International. We very much need couples to provide valuable feedback about the program and workbook. Discover how the unconscious forces that attract you to your partner are also the sources of conflict. Learn better communication skills & develop an increased compassion and understanding for your partner. Learn new tools to renew passion and discover how to stay connected to your partner as well as 12 step programs.
We clearly define what healthy relationships look like while teaching equality and respect in partnership. The weekend includes short lectures, writings, exercises, demonstrations, movie clips, practicing skills with your partner, meeting couples on the same path, and laughter. It is designed to be a highly interactive, meaningful yet fun weekend.
In short, this weekend workshop is like squeezing six months of couples counseling/coaching into 2 1/2 days.
