Relapse Prevention Group
Relapse Prevention group is for those individuals who have achieved an awareness that their alcohol and/or drug use is a problem and are currently working a program of total abstinence toward personal recovery. A cognitive-behavioral approach is utilized with graduated progressive exercises designed to deepen awareness of possible triggers, dangerous situations and vulnerable states of mind. Relational tools are utilized throughout the program to enhance the experience of sober connection with others.
The goals of the Relapse Prevention Group are:
- To support the group member in their daily efforts at staying clean and sober.
- To present the tools necessary for growth and healing in recovery.
- To forearm the group member for dangerous circumstances and situations.
